The launch of the all-new Endeavor has been confirmed by Ford India for January 2016. The variants, features and the brochure of this 7-seat Premium SUV have been updated on the website.
It will feature 2 diesel engines from the Duratorq Family of Ford. First one is the 3.2 Liter Duratorq 5-cylinder TDCi Diesel engine that is capable of delivering 470 Nm of Torque and 197 hp of Power. The engine would pair up with a 6-speed automatic transmission as well as a 4WD system along with Terrain Management having 3 modes; Rock, Sand and Grass/Gravel/Snow.
The 2nd one is a 2.2 liter Duratorq 4-cylinder TDCi diesel engine that is capable of delivering 385 Nm of Torque and 158 hp of Power. In the year 2017, Ford India has plans of introducing Endeavor with 2.2 liter diesel Engine.
Variants of Ford Endeavour
In India, 2 variants of Endeavour would be available, Titanium and Trend. The new Endeavour would have features like an SD Card Slot, 2 USB ports, Sync 2 infotainment System, Climate Control, Rear View Camera and Semi Auto Parallel Park Assist. Other comfortable goodies include Active Noise Cancellation, 50:50 split power tail gate, 3rd row seats having the power folding feature, LED interior lighting, leather upholstery as well as a sun-roof. Talking about safety, it has features line Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Launch Assist, Hill Descent Control and 7 Airbags.
As of now, the price of this upcoming SUV hasn’t been revealed but it is expected that it would be priced between 20-28 lakhs. The new Endeavour would compete Hyundai Santa Fe, Ssangyong Rexton, Mitsubishi Sport, Toyota Fortuner and Chevrolet Trailblazer.
