Rumours about the upcoming Redmi 6 have been pouring in thick and fast. The handset was recently spotted on Chinese certification site TENNA. Now, Xiaomi president Lin Bin has teased an image of a handset that appears to be the upcoming Redmi 6. Besides, the company has also confirmed a launch event on June 12 where the device is expected to make its official debut.

The new teaser shared by Xiaomi has a similar front that was seen on those devices spotted on TENNA. Also, there was allegedly another variant of the handset with a notch that was also spotted, which is said to be the Redmi 6 Plus. Therefore, it appears the handset teased by Xiaomi president Lin Bin could be the Redmi 6A.

Besides, sources also indicate that we may see three different models of the Redmi 6A. The high-end variant of the handset is expected to feature a 5.45-inch HD+ display. Under the hood, it is said to run MediaTek’s Helio P22 processor built using 12nm processor. Now, this brings some rather awesome features such as AI and TensorFlow to the budget category of handsets. The device is also likely to carry a dual-lens rear camera setup on the back with a 12MP primary camera sensor. The device is also expected to be offered in a choice of 4GB+64GB and 3GB+32GB RAM and storage models.

That being said, readers are advised to take this information with a pinch of salt as nothing is official at the moment. Though we’ll know everything tomorrow i.e. June 12, when the handset goes official. We’ll update you as soon as we hear anything new. Until then, keep checking back for more.
