Alcatel OneTouch PIXI 4 (5) with 5-inch display, 4G VoLTE launched for Rs. 4,999

Alcatel OneTouch has launched 5-inch PIXI 4 (5) smartphone with 4G capabilities in India. The smartphone will be available exclusively on Flipkart. The successor of PIXI 3 launched earlier, the PIXI 4 (5) comes with a host of features like Polaroid filters and Arkamys-optimized speakers.

Alcatel PIXI 4 (5) Specifications

The smartphone is 9.5mm thick and weighs 169g. It features a 5-inch FWVGA display and 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6735M processor. The RAM packed into the phone is 1GB with 8GB of internal storage capacity. The smartphone is provided with a MicroSD card slot which can increase the storage up to 32GB. Alcatel PIXI 4 (5) runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

On the optics front, it has 5MP rear camera with Video Zoom, HDR, Panorama, Photo editor, Photo live filters, Face detection, Geo-tag, Video stabilization and a 2MP front shooter with flash for taking selfies. The battery stuffed at its back is 2000mAh. The company is offering the phone in four color options – Metal Gold, Metal Silver, Volcano, Black, and Sharp Blue. Connectivity issues include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE, GPS and Micro-USB 2.0.

The phone features smart power-saving functions, which offers up to 20 percent longer browsing. The 2000mAh battery is said to last 12 hour talk time and 4.5 charging time. Other features include G-sensor, Proximity sensor, Google Translate app, 1-finger zoom, Flip to mute, QR code scanner, Polaroid camera, Power saving mode, HD voice, Dual-mic Noise cancellation, and more.

At the launch, Regional Director of Alcatel India Praveen Valecha stated, “The PIXI 4 is designed for the youth/millennial who want a trendy phone loaded with future-proof features and yet not being heavy on the pocket. The PIXI 4 promises the perfect balance of speed, performance, and ergonomics. And all of this comes with great features like Arkamys-optimized speakers and Polaroid filters.”
