Acer unveiled two convertible laptops ahead of Computex 2016. The devices termed Switch One 10 and Switch V 10 will be powered by Windows 10 and are target students as well as professionals on-the-move.
The convertible devices serve as a notebook, tablet, tent as well as display screen. Acer’s Snap Hinge Latch-less magnet ensures your screen stays in place when using the Switch devices as a notebook. Both the Switch One 10 and Switch V 10 are powered by Intel quad-core processors, but neither Microsoft or Acer has disclosed which CPU has been used. Both variants also come with a dual-camera set-up on the device.
Acer Switch One 10
The Switch One 10 is the cheaper of the two variants and is expected to be made available for a price of Rs. 13,300. The convertible laptop comes along with a 10-inch HD display screen with IPS technology, a fingerprint sensor, and support for Windows Hello as well as a Precision Touchpad. The device is expected to come with around 8-hours of battery life. The Acer Switch One 10 will be available in one color, Metallic Grey.
Acer Switch V 10
The higher priced model of the two is expected to cost approximately Rs. 16,750. It will feature a 10.1-inch HD display screen with IPS technology, come with USB Type-C ports, a fingerprint sensor with support for Windows Hello as well as longer battery life of about 9 hours.
The Acer Switch V 10 is expected to be made available in the colors of Pearl White, Navy Blue, Peacock Blue, Shale Black and Coral Red. No other information about the two devices has been shared by Acer, and we expect to learn more during the upcoming Computex in Taipei.
According to reports on the Windows Blog, the Switch One 10 is first expected to make its debut in North America in July while the Switch V 10 is expected to be released in the same region later this year.
