Ford EcoSport S and Signature Edition go official in India

Ford Ecosport facelift was launched in India around six months back. Now, the company has further expanded its Ecosport lineup in the country by launching two top-tier varaints of its compact SUV – the ‘Ford Ecosport S’ and ‘Ford Ecosport Signature edition’.

“In line with our Feels like Family Promise, we are committed to meeting diverse needs of our customers and act on their feedback. The addition of Sunroof, a feature that customers have been demanding, and world-renowned EcoBoost engine technology, is an example of our commitment.Driven by customer feedback, the two new editions make our compact SUV even more stylish, trendier and fun-to-drive,” said Anurag Mehrotra, president and managing director at Ford India.

The Ford Ecosport Signature edition will be a limited edition variant and comes with a sunroof. The petrol varaint of the Signature edition gets price tag of Rs 10.40 lakh, while its diesel model will set you back by Rs. 10.99 lakh (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). However, they get the same engine that powers the standard model of the compact SUV.

Meanwhile, the Ford EcoSport S marks the return of the acclaimed 1L EcoBoost petrol engine – which churns out 125PS power and 170Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to an all new six speed manual transmission. The company also claims reduced emissions by upoto 12 percent along with a mileage of 18.1kmpl for the Ford EcoSport S.

The new variant also gets smoked High-intensity discharge (HD) headlamps as well as fog lamp bezels. Additonally, the new model comes with a black painted roof and roof rails as well as 17-inch smoke alloy wheels. Meanheile, the interiors of the Ford EcoSport S gets orange accents on the seat and around the intsrument cluster. The new model also comes equipped with a larger 8-inch SYNC 3 touchscreen infotainment system with supoort for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Ford EcoSport S and is priced at Rs 11.37 Lakh (Ex-Showroom), while its Titanium variant gets a price tag of Rs 11.89 Lakh (Ex-showroom).
